Recovery is not an event, but a lifetime journey. Along this path, the aid of experienced guides and the fellowship of others in recovery can provide invaluable support and direction. Alumni of our drug rehab program live not only in Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles County, and Orange County, but also all over the world. The men who come here to our treatment facility in the beautiful foothills of Big Bear Mountain in Southern California learn to embrace recovery as a lifestyle for long-term sobriety while staying plugged in to the Sunrise Ranch Alumni Network.

The Post-Treatment Plan for our Clients Begins on Day One

The men who begin a lifestyle free of drugs and alcohol at our drug rehab will begin to understand from the first day that in order to quit drinking or using drugs, they are going to have to continue planning their recovery program into the future. This is not as overwhelming as it may sound because the long-term recovery planning integrates goals for the man in recovery and helps him achieve those goals and build self-esteem. We also have an outstanding staff of drug counselors and experts who will guide our male patients in setting goals and designing a long-term post-treatment recovery plan ("continuing care" plan).

Sunrise Recovery Ranch Alumni Program Is a Source of Strength

Sunrise Ranch provides lasting support and encouragement through its network of alumni. Alumni are contacted consistently by their case managers as part of their continuing care program. Our greater network of Sober Living by the Sea Addiction Treatment Centers hosts many rehab alumni events including annual reunions, recovery speaker events, and weekly follow-up rehab alumni support groups.
